Use .bvh Hierarchy

Uses a .bvh file and writes the hierarchial information to the FACT file.

To use this opton just check the box and, using the "browse" button, locate the .bvh file you would like to use.

Hierarchial information does not exist in OBJ files. This makes it diffucult to exchange complex hierarchial setups via this format. You will most likely want hierarchies if you exchange complete characters from any application to EI. If you have a biovision motion capture file that fits the hierarchy of your OBJ you can use this option and add its hierarchy to the FACT.

Note: For OBJ2FACT to successfully apply hierarchial data, groups within the OBJ must be named exactly as they are in the .bvh file. If the names don't match exactly OBJ2FACT cannot tell which part of the model belongs to which part of the hierarchy.

Hint: If you don't have a matching .bvh file you can create one within EI and use this file with the OBJ.

Note: OBJ2FACT does not convert motion files or moving figures from applications like Poser to EI. The option to use .bvh files within OBJ2FACT was only included to give the user a possibility to apply hierarchical information to the otherwise flat structured OBJ file. During this process only parent/child relationships are established. OBJ2FACT does not shift pivot points or does any other modification to the file. All further use of .bvh data in Universe like skinning of geometry and connection to bones skeletons is up to the user and not a feature of OBJ2FACT.
