Get UV Size from Textures |
||||||||||||||
Reads the texture sizes from the original textures and scales the UV space of the groups within the FACT accordingly. Note: This option will only be available if you have a corresponding .mtl file for the OBJ and "Use .mtl File" is enabled. If you use this option, you need a .mtl file that specifies the textures for the materials of the OBJ. If OBJ2FACT does not find a texture that is specified in the .mtl file, it will prompt you to find the texture in question. Textures can be in JPEG, PICT, TGA, TIFF and IMAGE format. When you open the FACT in EI, you will be asked to find the corresponding textures for the FACT file as long as they are not in the same location. Locate the textures - which should have been converted to the IMAGE file format already. All textures will be loaded into the proper channels of their groups and aligned correctly. Note: A group within a FACT has an uniform UV space for all texture channels. If you have a source OBJ wich uses different sized textures for different texture channels of the same object, for example, bump and diffuse, you should scale them to the same size to make sure they will fit the geometry when you open them in EI. |
